first month of 2008

Aright, so I know I haven't been writing much this month, but it's because I've been pretty busy doing many thingsl. And just got lazy.  Anyhow, the things I did for this first month of 2008 was going snowboarding at Mt. Creek for the third time in my life, finishing a big, annoying art project for school, spending time with friends and the boyfriend, concentrating in school, and playing volleyball. Last Friday, I went to my grandma's apartment in Brooklyn to visit since it's been a while since I've seen my family members who live there. My great aunt now takes care of my-used-to-be shitzu, and now it looks like a moving mop since she refuses to cut its hair. 

The last exciting thing that happened was  going to the GEVA SEED Volleyball Tournament in Lakewood, which is located in South Jersey. I had to wake up at 5:30 and go to Michelle's house (one of my teammates) by 6:30. From there, it  took about another hour and a half to get to the place. It was a long day. By the end, my team was just too tired to focus, so we sadly lost the last game that decided whether we went to the playoffs or not.

Well today's my 15th birthday guys! And I have to say... it's really been a great one. It was really laid back during school, and to make the day a good start, a couple of my friends decorated my locker and stuck little cards on them. (Thanks, you guys.) Afterschool, I spent the rest of the day with my boyfriend, Joe, which meant a lot to me. When I came home, my best friend, Ashley (godsis!) surprised me by decorating my house door since (she said this) she couldn't decorate my locker since we don't go to same schools anymore.. *snifff. Anyhow, I want to thank the people who gave me great gifts and wished me a happy birthday. And thanks everyone, for making this day really meaningful.

How I spent my new year: watched Superbad on dvd at my house with Ashley.

This morning, Ashley and I ate traditional dduk-gook for breakfast. Then as she left, I quickly got ready to go to the city to meet up with Jaeki to go to a store called Atmos in Harlem to meet someeone. However, the chance flew by a bit too quick so we visited and checked out the store, then hit up House of Hoops. The place is pretty nice by the way (: After, we went to Soho and I copped this Married to the MOB shirt I've been wanting for a WHILE but have been quite hesitant due to the price. So I made up my mind and just got it, haha. After that we walked around, tried to hit up some places to eat, but most were closed because of new year's, so Jaeki got pretty frustrated haha. But we finally found a chinese restaurant, and as we were about to order, Jaeki starts talking to the waiter in fluent Chinese! which shocked me a bit. So after a satisfying dinner, we split at Port Authority and as I was getting a bus ticket, I realized I had no change so I put in a 20 dollar bill into the machine and gave me about $17 worth of change in dollar coins. I mean, do people even accept those nowadays? Anyway, I got the ticket and waited at the bus gate for literally an hour having to stand next to an old man who kept on flatulating. GROSS. However, I did have a nice ride back home, and now I should be getting back to finishing my homework. Happy 2008 everyone.
